Course of Study

I am currently enrolled at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte’s Cato School of Education as a master’s degree candidate in their Learning, Design and Technology program. My area of focus is online learning and teaching, which requires the following course work:

My professional goal is to design online learning experiences that help experts communicate complex ideas to diverse audiences. I am particularly interested in working in higher education and in building classes for museums, libraries, and other institutions that bring knowledge into the public sphere.

These environments bring together many of the interests that have shaped my work as a teacher, writer, and instructional designer: translating complex ideas for new learners, designing narrative and scenario-based learning experiences, and creating educational materials that are accessible to many different kinds of learner.
